Salisbury Steak

My Mom always makes this delicious Salisbury steak.  You can make this with either Swiss steak or ground chuck.  I made this plate with ground chuck.  Here is the recipe:

mix 1 lb of ground chuck
1/2 cup of seasoned bread crumbs
teaspoon or so of dry mustard
1/2 cup of ketchup
Create a flour mixture of flour salt and pepper
Dip your meat into the flour mixture and place in a skillet to brown the meat
(If you plan on eating within the next couple of hours you may want to cook your meat in the skillet a little longer)
While the meat is browning get your gravy mixture ready in the crock pot
you will need 1 can of cream of mushroom
1 can of cream of celery
1 dry package of onion soup mix
1 beef bouillon cube

Mix the soups together (you can add a small amount of water to the dry soup mix before you place in the crock pot if you prefer) don’t forget to add the beef cube

Once you have all the soups mixed in the crock pot take your meat and fold into the soup mixture

Cook on high for 2 to 3 hours or low for 4 to 6 hours (depending on when you plan on eating)

I then just made some rice and boiled broccoli and added cheese to the broccoli #easydinnerideas
